Work Samples

Here are some examples of professional resources I created and utilized while leading our L&D team.

Individual Development Plans (IDPs) - An important initiative for this company was to allow employees the opportunity for continuous learning. The purpose of an IDP is to assist employees in  both career and personal development. The primary focus was to help employees exceed their current job functions and ensure success in their roles, while also supporting career advancement and short/ long term goals. This form was to be completed by the employee's manager to give their input in current job functions. After forms were submitted, each employee would meet with myself to develop their IDP. This meeting was optional for managers to join, but consisted of the employees setting an additional 3 goals for their own professional growth throughout the year. Meetings were annual with quarterly check-ins throughout the year with each of the 150 employees.

Learning Management Systems (LMS): As the Training and Development department was new to the company, something that was imperative from the beginning was to establish a Learning Management System.  Learning Management Systems are platforms that let L&D professionals manage elements such as content, user access, assessments, etc. This improves educational methods as it allows better accessibility for all learners, saving both time and money. The three LMS I chose were Articulate 360, LinkedIn Learning and ProductivityNow.

Training Request Forms: One thing that is important for any Training and Development department is being accessible by the rest of the company. An easy way for us to ensure that all employees were able to bring up any training needs was to create a Training Request Form that we then uploaded onto the company Intranet. Here, we made ourselves available to solve all training needs, whether personal or departmental. This form required detailed information for the team to best address the problem and create or assign resources that would solve the employee's need. Essentially, this acted as a needs analysis for the T&D team!
